 Tune In - Year of Music

Tune In - Year of Music is a national project from the DCSF aiming to encourage children and young people to take part in more music-related activities. The 12-month commitment kicked off in September 2009 and has already seen participants aged from birth to 19 years old singing, playing instruments, writing lyrics and more. All this creativity aids concentration, encourages motivation and determination and builds social skills, life skills, and confidence.

And as well as throwing music open to every child and young person in England, Tune In - Year of Music aims to celebrate the musical excellence shown by many English children and young people by supporting and inspiring the very talented to continue improving.
