Electric Guitar | When to start: | Tuition tends to start in year 8, some students purchase and electric guitar after playing the acoustic guitar for a few years |

| Hire costs: | Electric Guitars are not available for hire from HMS. | |
| Purchase Price: | Electric guitars can be purchased from HMS for about £85. | |
| General: | There are lots of performance opportunites, mainly in rock, pop and jazz bands. | |
Bass Guitar | When to start: | Usually from year 8, but some school offer tuition in middle schools |
